On Saturday, September 13, 2008, the Greater Memphis Chapter of USA Dance spent a very special evening. The Mavis Stanley Memorial was a formal dance, with live music, special decorations, and food, in memory of Mavis. She was a former President who worked tirelessly to put the Greater Memphis Chapter in the forefront of the local dance community. Mavis’s many friends miss her.
